Hello Again

Just a note to tell you we are still here. I have a new job that I am in the middle of training for and James is at home full time with the kids. Ethan will be going to 4 year old kindergarten on Sept. 12th he is very excited to start school.

Spring is Fun

Rachel is loving playing on the deck. She likes the sunshine and the fresh air.

Ethan has found his nautical side and he is the captian of the "deck" . Daddy put a ships wheel on a post of deck and we have an instant ship!

Various ramblings

The past few days have been chilly compared the the 70 degree days we had last week. Boy it was so nice to have the windows in the house open and Ethan commented that it was nice to feel the warm sun on his arms. (so cool that he noticed) He is growing up so fast. He will attend 4 year old kindergarten starting this fall from Mon-Thurs. Rachel is starting to take some steps without our help soon she will be off and running. She said her first word yesterday, that is other than Mama & Dada. BUBBLES... the kids were taking a bath and she got a handful of bubbles and said clear as a bell... bubbles!

Well, I have made the leap into digital scrapbooking or "digi" as they call it in the industry.

This is a VERY simple page but I like the elements... still learning

Out for a drive

Just about a week ago the kids and I were out for a drive ... really trying to get Rachel to take a nap. And we were out in a new development in the Town of Harrison, which as far as I can tell is just Appleton. Anyway, we are driving around and looking at the new houses when Ethan says "look Ethans drive!" I look up and see the street sign bearing his name... we went back the next day to take a photo. Boy, did I mention that the houses were amazing, and that we will be living in our house for at least another 9 years. :) Love to all Happy MONDAY!

Hurray it's FRIDAY!

I can't watch the kids every minute of every day ... so this is what happened a couple of days ago when I went to take a quick shower!!

Seriously! Then I had to vacuum and Rachel is terrified of the vacuum, she actually visibly shakes when she sees it, it doesn't even have to be plugged in or turned on to have her start crying uncontrollably. So I scooped both of them up took them up to Ethan's room and did a fast clean up.

Lesson Learned - Shower BEFORE daddy leaves for work!

SNOW DAY !! oh my

Snowy, snow, SNOW !!

It is beautiful I would like to bundle up the kids and go for a walk but it is so deep that I don't think the stroller would be able to plow thru :)

The "AREA"

These are shots from yesterday while James had the kids at the mall at the "area" as Ethan calls it. They love to play there in the winter, Ethan is quite popular with the little girls as well. He likes to make up stories about what is happening, like they are on a boat and they are searching for treasure. We love his imagination, maybe he will love to write stories just like daddy.

We are expecting up to 16" of snow tonight so I guess a snowman is in order for next week sometime.

What can I say about my little Rachel, she is simply a joy.

I remember the day we found out we were pregnant again, I knew at that moment she was my little girl. I try not to wish away the time we have together but I look forward to watching her grow and become a young woman. She is just amazing.

Thank you God for blessing us with such a wonderful gift.

Super Hero

Here is our superhero ROCKETBOY !

With all of the static electricity in the house this winter Ethan has discovered the "fun" of giving shocks to others. He slid off of the chair one morning and touched James and gave him a shock over and over again until the static was gone. He looked at me bewildered and said"Mama, my super powers are gone" and then a few days later he touched me and gave me a shock and was thrilled that his "Super Powers were BACK" :)
Ahhh youth!

Firsts

This is Rachel's first birthday photo. This is my first Post. Last week was our first week without Miss Bonnie watching the kids. Loads of firsts for us lately.
We are adjusting well to our new no-daycare life and the kids seem to be enjoying being with us all day everyday.... oh, that didn't sound too upbeat :)
