First Day of Kindergarten

Wow the first day of Kindergarten! I can say in all honesty that when Ethan started school or any other socializing adventure it brought out all my insecurities from my own childhood. I don't want him to be the weird kid. We got up early on Sept. 3rd and got ready, I was able to go into work late and that was great! We took Ethan to school and you will see him way way far away in the background on the play ground. He took off running as soon as he spotted other kids, he didn't even look back. So the discovery was that he is ready to grow up...even if I am not ready. And I see now that I am NOT : )

Summer and the kids

We've spent a good deal of the summer going to the park. Rachel seems to think we need to go every morning after waking up. We try to convince her to eat breakfast and wait til the sun comes up : )!!

Time for some Changes

We have decided to say good bye to this beautiful house we called our first home. We made a wonderful life for ourselves here. This is the only home the kids have ever known, but they are so excited about having a big yard to play in and having a playroom just for them.

However, we have outgrown the walls, and the yard. We had a lot of work to do on the house to get it ready to sell, here is one of the first things we did! Cut down a tree. We felt so guilty cutting down such a wonderful tree, most likely 45-50 years old. But what a difference it has made. Now you can see the great front room window and the awesome front door of the house. You know what they say about curb appeal.

So, here are some photos of the transformation that is taking place so we can sell our home to another couple like us who are just starting out as we were just over 7 years ago. Check in again soon for the interior changes... you will be amazed.

It has been a very long time since I posted, however, hopefully I will have more time than I have had in the past several months.

Hello Again

Just a note to tell you we are still here. I have a new job that I am in the middle of training for and James is at home full time with the kids. Ethan will be going to 4 year old kindergarten on Sept. 12th he is very excited to start school.

Spring is Fun

Rachel is loving playing on the deck. She likes the sunshine and the fresh air.

Ethan has found his nautical side and he is the captian of the "deck" . Daddy put a ships wheel on a post of deck and we have an instant ship!

Various ramblings

The past few days have been chilly compared the the 70 degree days we had last week. Boy it was so nice to have the windows in the house open and Ethan commented that it was nice to feel the warm sun on his arms. (so cool that he noticed) He is growing up so fast. He will attend 4 year old kindergarten starting this fall from Mon-Thurs. Rachel is starting to take some steps without our help soon she will be off and running. She said her first word yesterday, that is other than Mama & Dada. BUBBLES... the kids were taking a bath and she got a handful of bubbles and said clear as a bell... bubbles!
